Installing Skins for XBMC

Here's a list with great skins which you can download:

http://xbmc.org/skins/

For this tutorial I will be downloading and installing the Aeon theme. Click on the Aeon picture to go to the download page. You can click on the downloading link under the search bar to download this skin.

You will be linked to a site and you can click the "Download Source" button.

Now select the "ZIP" image to begin downloading.

2. Installing skins

After it's finished downloading you can open the file using WinRAR for example.

Now you need to extract the folder to C:\Program Files\XBMC\skin (sorry for the different language).

Click on "OK" and you're done with the hard part, now start XBMC.

Go to "System" and then go to "Appearence" and change the skin like you see on the image:

After that you should have the Aeon theme active. Congratulations :)

First of all you can start by going to this site:


http://xbmc.org/download/


You may click the Windows icon to begin downloading the installation file.

 

2. Installing XBMC


Open the installation file and the setup will begin

Click "Next" and after that click "I Agree". You will now see the component you can install.

You don't want to change anything because it's already set to "Full". Click "Next to continue.


If you want to change the folder path of XBMC you can do that, but the default path will do just great.


You can now check one of the two boxes.

If you are not installing XBMC on a USB thumb drive you probably want to install it in Default mode, otherwise you can install in Portable mode.


Now click "Next" and start the installation.


When the installation is done you can select "Start XBMC" and click finish.

Congratulations, you have now installed XBMC! :)
