1. Preparing your folder and movie names


a. for Movies


To begin with, you should always put your movies in one folder per movie.


If you have the movie "Clash of the Titans" you will need to make a folder called "Clash of the Titans (2009)".
Be sure to add the year when it was released, for this example 2009 (also between brackets).


You have to name your movie file and your subtitle file the same as your folder name.


Your movie folders will look like this:

First of all you need to make a folder for each serie. We will be preparing the tv serie "Dexter" in this example.


Make a folder called "Dexter", then you will need to make a folder for each season. Make folders like Season 01, Season 02, Season 03 etc.


Put your tv series in the the correct season folder.


The last step is to rename your tv series files to the correct name. You will need to call it like "Dexter.S02E06", "Band.of.Brothers.S01E03" or "Heroes.S04E13".

2. Installing Ember Media Manager


You can download the lastest version of Ember Media Manager from the official site:

Follow the onscreen instructions to install the program.


3. Configuring Ember Media Manager


The startup wizard will ask you to add a source, please click on the button and link it to the folder path of your movies/series. Also give the source a name, leave the checkboxes default. Click "Next".

Now you will see a lot of checkboxes, select all except for "Use <movie> Only for Folders with Mutiple Movies".

Click "Next" and you will see almost the same window as before but now for TV Series. Select your source and click "Next". Now you will see more checkboxes, you can check all.


Now your Ember Media Manager is configured!


4. Scrape your media


Ember Media Manager will automatically load all of your media you have selected before. All you need to do is click "Scrape Media" and it will begin scraping! :)
